44 Trout

Very low and bright. Couple of rises. Nothing caught.

Fished the weed beds on the west bank to no avail.
Saw 4 people spinning.

After blanking the day before we fished the gully in the lower stretch. Changed tactics and fished euro style nymph, managed a couple of fish. Again masses of fly life only saw a handful of fish rising throughout the day.

Fished dawn till dusk. All fish came in the top field. Barbel we’re feeding till 9.00am then dropped off. Chub we’re happy feeding in the sunshine throughout the day all taken on luncheon meat.

3 Trout, 2 Grayling

Two trout one at 2lb and one at 1.7lb. Unfortunately the afternoon was spoilt by people swimming and lighting fires so we went home early.

Good day at sugwas, 5 barbel from roughly 4 - 7lb, 15 good sized chub up to ~5lb and some smaller chublets. River low and clear and bright conditions throughout the day. Fish caught from 2 spots towards the upper end of the stretch which have produced before in low flow conditions. Feeder with pellet, boilie or corn all produced.
