Fished today off the boat conditions were good with a NW 10 to 15mph winds mostly cloudy. No fish were caught or seen. Tried different drifts all over the lake and different lines and flies. 3 perch were caught on a gold head olive and that was it for 8 hours of fishing.

Very scenic and remote, perfect fishing, not easy but rewarding, fished all round and caught on lee and windward shores and in bays at both ends

Lots of big salmon 10+ lbs following my spinner in but not going for it, landed a lovely brownie around 2lbs on worm, and 2 small sea trout about 1.5-2lbs on a small silver mepps spinner. All released to be caught another day! The tawe is very lively atm especially by the bridge in ystalafera oppsite Asda! You can see the salmon from the bridge. Plenty of silver slabs jumping every few minutes!

River very low and warm. Some sporadic rises and fish spotted. Rose a few but didn't connect. Due to circumstances we fished the wrong time of day. Lovely beat though, would be interested to try again. Obligatory Kingfisher was a joy!

Morning conditions could not have been worse. Cool northerly wind and intermittent bright sunshine. Water level is very low and much of the water is inaccessible. Things picked up in the afternoon, wind dropped and became quite warm. Persisted worming and caught 3 rainbows late on. One was a very nice 3 lb fish.

River really on its bones but fish were obviously in a taking mood, maybe could have done better if the wind had been at the level our crystal ball forecasters had predicted, but all in all a really good session.All caught on many different patterns.
