Cold Easterly, low water, nothing seen.

Fished the upper section of the beat. Lovely water with some pools, glides and riffles. Day was overcast and breezy, but warm in the afternoon. Didn’t see a single fish and both of us blanked. The river seemed devoid of fish, which was strange as we caught well yesterday downstream of this beat.

2 perch caught with worm and returned to water. 6 rainbow trout caught with worm and taken home.

Very windy in the morning and quiet. About 9, fish started biting. Eventually 3 out of 4 of us caught 4 each. Unlucky for some ????

Fished a couple of hours this afternoon in a cold gusty wind. A couple of small trout and grayling on nymph.

No fish taken, brilliant day on the water.

I caught 1 on worm, 6 foot deep. 2 on size 0 gold spinner.

Low, clear water, chilly NE breeze, tricky conditions all round. Persevered for 5 fish between us, 4 on the nymph of a duo, one on the dry. Best about 12", others in the 6-8" range.
