Two brown trout caught one in the region of 5lb the other around a pound, both released, large fish caught in worm, small fish caught on spinner.
Both my grandsons 10 and 11 are over the moon

Some fish rising but I was not successful .

Lots of fish about, mostly browns and some salmon.

Warm bright day, water clear enough to sight-fish in places - and some big fish were visible. Surprisingly several came up for the Jingler in the sparse 12-2pm hatch, but I missed or lost all but two, of 14 and 15 inches, strong as ever.

Mixture of dries and nymphs on the low, clear river. Best fish 1.5lbs. Strong sun all day!

Fly Water Hen Bloa , Access to river mostly difficult narrow undulating path not for the elderly Angler, one slip and your in the river falling 20 feet , Wading also difficult large boulders

Very tough day. Hoping for a hatch of March Browns with the warm weather; nothing and didn’t see a single fish rise to a natural. Three came up for my dry, on a duo, and I landed one. Lots of green slime already, wading treacherous as usual and a screaming downstream wind made presentation difficult. I have fished Widdybank 3 times now and my catch returns have been 1, 25, 1. Both of the 1s in April. My conclusion is when it is good it is very good, when it is hard it is very hard. The scenery and fresh air are wonderful and I saw lots of black grouse.
