Another enjoyable days fishing with the black magic nymph doing the job. The remains of many crayfish were evident all along this beat, with reports of a mink being spotted around the river in Aymestry, I wonder if these are the culprits.

Fished the afternoon, first time at Llandewi, and broke my hitherto blanks on the Welsh streams. 1 par to hand (couldn't distinguish whether trout or salmon) on small dry fly, plus one other "distance released (may have been a grayling, on the dropper). River low but weather was cool for the time of year, and overcast , which may have helped. Numerous takes from fry, all at head of pools in streams water.

River very low. Cloudy during periods when fish caught. Ledger and rolling pellet.
Access to river edge for the middle half of the beat very steep and overgrown inhibiting many except those with advanced jungle training and climbing skills.

River low, cloudy for morning and early afternoon.
Fly only, Numerous fry and rising fish, except no obvious signs of salmon presence.
Flashy salmon flies received no offers but barbless more imitative patterns were intervened by more sporting chub.

Bought an evening ticket and it was my first time here. A lovely stretch of water but not much activity. Fished until it was nearly dark and there was the odd fish rising but couldn't tempt them with anything I put in front of them.

Stunning scenery here. It’s great you can drive along the bank and drop gear off on way to parking area. Fished mid section and down bottom and eventually found some bites after a slow start. Had one Barbel 6 1/2 pound and 3 nice sized Chub. Fished simple feeder tactics with pellet and boilie. Would visit again.
