Great stretch plenty of swims to head for, river was low but plenty of chub up to 5lb with the average in the 4lb range, only 1 barbel but chub more than made up for it. Bigger fish coming from the field after the woods.

First trip to this venue, hopefully not the last.
Arrive to perfect conditions, 20ish landed, many more missed or dropped. Gave up at 1.30ish, blowing a hooly.
Mix of Bibio or Bibio sedgehog.
As stated by previous anglers. the track to the lake seemed pretty good to me, but i've never seen it before.
