No fish caught today. River too high and quite dirty for the fly

Two quick dusk hours fishing, two small trout on dry upwings, lots of fish rising to fly life

All three trout were small. The water was high, but still fishable.

One of those days! Didn't see a fish and the river seemed 'dead' no fly life, no sign of fish at all. I did find an abandoned rucksack on the bank containing a picnic stove cups and a spool of line. Poachers I suspect . I will forward photo evidence by email

Fished dam end of lake and it was slow going. One carp 13lb and another 5 lost due to hook pulls which was mistifying.
Another crazy weather day which sums up this spring.

Booked both Dinas and Abercynrig beats. Water high and slightly coloured but fished dries only and had great sport on olives.

Booked both Dinas and Abercynrig beats. Water high and slightly coloured but fished dries only and had great sport on olives. Kamikazi otter ran along bank over our heads then ran down between us and dived in full length.

1 WBT approx 2lbs 20” fish in great condition, a very large fish hooked but sadly lost at net... easily 5lbs
