A bit uncomfortable in bright sunlight. Beautiful stretch but not to be recommended for older anglers with mobility issues and definitely not if the banks are wet. Barbel on krill boilie and chub on marine halibut boilie.

brown trout 4inches returned ,grayling 9inches returned, River access very difficult. I didnt cover all the length of the fishing but very heavy under growth on banks and overgrowth over head. i was using a 6' 6 rod and still struggled. High taut barbed wire at some of best access positioning good fun if your happy to scramble.

Hottest day of the year on a low river. Couple of barbel from the fast water near the island about 11 am and 18 chub throughout the day . Lots seen on the surface near the steps - wish I’d had a loaf.
Ps there is a swim at the top end with steps - good access to the same fast water that’s at the bottom of the foy bridge boundary.

First time on this beat.
River low and in need of a flush through. Lots of filamentous algae in the slower runs.
Fished the dry all day, as I had seen a few rises whilst walking to the start of the beat.
Managed to land 2 on a small cdc emerger, from the faster water near top of beat. Also hooked and lost 5 more.
Would definitely book this beat again.
If anyone could enlighten me, what are the "gates" that are strung across the river?
