I fished the upstream of the stretch of river I did see what I thought was evidence of fish coming to the surface but caught nothing trying both wet and dry flys. It has better conditions for trout deep pools and over hanging tree with some nice gravely bits.

There was however quite a bit of flood damage

Not a bad start me getting back in the season. Had two today both rainbow one on spinner and the other on bottom and lost on the bubble float at the end of day.

Only a couple of hours on the water. A great fish of around 3/4lb caught using euro nymphing tactics, with little seen rising. A tricky stretch of water to wade, but beautiful surroundings.
