Water gin clear. 1 ft on Llanstaphan gauge. Bright sunlight till about 1. Plenty of flys hatching, no fish moving. Caught 8ins. brownie on dry yellow plume.

Beautiful beat. Teeming with fry, but unfortunately hardly any trout seen. Saw one rise and lost a fish to a nymph in one of the deep pools.

River low and clear with very little hatching. All fish caught using long leader contact nymphing. Largest fish was just under 19”.

A very challenging beat , very steep banks and limited swims to fish , bottom half of the beat not worth fly fishing.
No fish on dry flies , only saw 2 fish rise , so I fished the duo and caught both on a nymphs

Went along in the evening to see if there was a rise. Warm, overcast with a little rain. Loads of flies of every type but surprisingly little activity. Tried prospecting with parachute adams and french partridge mayfly but blanked.
