Overcast; Air temp 4C with a cold northerly breeze. The good news is the first swallows have arrived! Not sure what they were eating - no fly life active in the river. Gave it a couple of hours and retired frozen!

Reservoir very high couldn’t fish Bay Area as gate locked.
Bitterly cold day tried spinning and worm both bottom and float and finally caught a long lean fish on the fly
