Colder than expected with a stiff breeze and as a result there was no surface activity. In just under four hours I didn't see anything hatch. The winter floods have moved a lot of debris but no significant obstacles. Fished a small nymph in the deeper pools and pocket water, plenty of hungry little trout, but didn't find one of the better fish. Still an excellent stream to spend time with.

Very cold (water at 5 °) and the water was a little high but most beats were fishable. No fish seen by me but my fellow angler managed to catch one from the Vanstone in the morning. The beat is very well maintained with steps into and from the beats making life easy. The maddox stream fished particularly well at this height and my second trip through was rewarded with a lively seatrout of about 4lbs.

A bit disappointing if I am honest but that's spring salmon fishing. Before I started I watched the dog otter off the bridge .Water temp was 8degrees still cold . Lots of rubbish and new snags over all the beat

it was nice to start then the wind go up and it was cold along with cold water. Bits of trees/bushes caught up in house pool and Heriog pot. Nothing seen or caught.
On a sad note there were 8 pairs of cormorants and we saw three pairs of Goosanders. a lot for the beat although the cormorants were flying

Fished this afternoon, but it was hard going. It felt as if there was no life about what's so ever . Third time out for me and although early on in season, it is looking bleak I must say

6 x trout 6-10 inches, Gold Bead hare's Ear. End of a pleasant, sunny afternoon with lots of wild daffodils out in the fields and a few fish actually rising.
