Another good day, the fishing was tougher today, but still caught 6 to fill my ticket.

I kept 5 nice fish and released one as it was very small.

I caught 4 using a spinner and 2 ledgering worms.

Water level still low, but rising quickly after the rain we received.

Lots of house martins swooping low over the water eating the flies (one got so tired it landed on my rod for a rest and allowed me to pick it up), and plenty of other birdlife about too.

River came up significantly overnight and was racing through. Sunny and clear day. Still managed 2 nice barbel and 3 good chub. Enough other action through the day to keep us expecting another fish and missed a couple of good bites. A very scenic spot and we will be back.

Unfortunately for us the river had come up very quickly over night and the bottom end was unfishable. The fish seemed to come in short bursts throughout the afternoon but the late evening feeding spell never materialise.

9 Brownies to hand on Nymphs. Hard fishing though today, windy but bright. River low and clear.

After a morning and early afternoon on Court of Noke I decided to give this beat a go for the first time. Had 3 on Nymphs but they all got away, will be back when we have had some rain. River low and clear. Very windy and overcast with bright spells.

A few fallen trees need clearing but that seems to be a common feature on the Arrow, possibly from the storms earlier this year.
