A steady stream of insects hatching, one or two trout rising. Managed to land three and lose one. Flies used were Copper John, Baetis nymph and F-fly.

3 Trout

Nice place. I will be back. Something weird to be honest because there were a lot of flies but no fish rising, only a couple of rise and that´s all at the end of the day.

Two trout of 8 inches, both on GRHE. One caught downstream of the bridge, the other further up. Caught both fish in the morning so thought I was in for a good day but was unable to hook up again. Enjoyable day on this lovely beat.

2 Trout

Location perfect, river perfect,weather perfect, fishing not so good, no rise of fly or fish.

A marked drop in temperature coupled with a north wind did not augur well for the fishing and it was tough going. I am recording one brown trout on a beadhead PTN but strictly speaking it didn't quite make it to hand.

Lovely day; fairly warm and mostly sunny. No trout rising despite a good hatch of olive duns. Two small trout, one on a beadhead PT the other on a dark olive spider.

2 Trout

River looking lovely with good flow and clear. Very little insect life and a stiff wind. Casting difficult and I probably spooked any active fish before covering them. Nil caught.

1 trout caught on a PTN. river looked in good condition. rained all afternoon.

No fish today and i saw no fish activity but this is one of the best Wild Fish beats I have fished.

4 hours, very pleasant, but cold! Nothing caught. Saw a mink, might have eaten all the fish?
