River was not fishable due to water levels

heavy rain night previous. quite weedy and lots of debris. rising river.
nil return but gorgeous scenery.

Jack pike on a pellet! Shame bottom meadow doesn’t have a single access point to the river. Usual pellet feeder method

Thoroughly enjoyable day , fished the lower end of the beat.

A rather soggy day, but still good fun even though the fish were quite difficult to find. We decided not to take the car down the hill today, so we were faced with a tough walk in and out, but it taught us to travel light!

Difficult day on rising river but managed to winkle a few out. Water was clear enough to use maggots which accounted for all the fish apart from the largest barbel which was caught on meat.

River high and rising but managed to catch in the few swims that were fishable

We arrived about midday. Weather was terrible with constant rain throughout the afternoon, causing the river to rise and push through very hard. There were only a couple of fishable swims due to high water and slippery banks. Thankfully, we managed to find a bit of slack water and bag 3 barbel up to 10lb 4oz on meat.
