Having retreated from the Irfon that had come up and coloured and become unfishable due to the mornings rain, we were pleasantly surprised to find the Edw unaffected by the rain.

Its been two years since i last fished this beat , and i was amazed how much its changed , the field section is no longer a field but a over grown jungle,River conditions didn't help either as there was a constant flow of cut weed coming down stream, never the less we had 8 barbel up to 8lb plus a chub between 3 of us , so that's a good day in my books ,

hmmmmm, very hard going weed,coming downstream ,sunny ,low river, no barbel? but still had a great day! thanks wye and usk.

two barbel caught..6 and 7lbs respectively... bottom meadow.. caught on boilie and pellet

The fish were caught from mid morning onwards. Best barbel was 9.06. It was windy with a mix of sun and cloud and was quite warm. Very enjoyable day.

Nice day on the river. Nothing big caught, trout in the 6"-9"range and grayling up to 12". Spotted a grayfish in the clear and low water. Deep pools should hold some nice fish.....
