First time on the Wye, only managed 4hrs (3-7pm) partly due to BA cancelling my flight back from Spain and some serious wind and rain, that I was ill-prepared for.
Only fished the first peg of the upstream end and fed a line at 20 meters with hemp, meat and pellet. Used a traditional running line rig, switching between hookbaits, but no signs of fish, until I'd packed up, when a large fish crashed over my feed..3 lessons learnt, about the Creel, feed an Iinside line in the deeper water with less weed growth; fish onto the dark as looks like the Creel fish turn on at dusk; update wet weather gear! RIver was a bit low, so could do with the rain so hopefully next session booked on How Caple Court will be better.

Another nice day on this spectacular beat. The river is very low so it was hard going but a couple to the deep nymph and some to a dry, but never the same patter twice !!! Saw a couple of Herons and what I think was an Egret.
Thanks to W&U and the beat owners.

Tried spinning dam end and fly all over the res but not even a tug, Sunny, warm and flat calm, not the best conditions. Fished the west end,fly only end and again loads of nightlines set and even a tent hidden in the bushes, there are serious poaching issues here.
