Started at the bottom of the beat and covered about 80% of the stretch during an afternoon and evening session. Mostly pretty shallow with a few deeper areas. No fish caught and didn't see a fish or a rise during the entire time I was there. Other anglers have caught so they must present. I suspect a more experienced angler would have fared better. But it's a vary scenic stretch and I would happily come back. There's a couple of places in the field above the caravan site where you can get out of the water and walk back along the bank to the caravan site ( I think this path extends all the way form the top of the beat to the caravan site). After walking around the edge of the caravan site you walk straight across the middle of the next field and then diagonally across the next one to join the Offa's dyke path at the bridge over the river. You can then follow the Offa's Dyke path back to the car.

A lovely remote stream at Pandy. A successful few hours fishing and around 2pm May flies started emerging and I could see fish taking them. This provided an opportunity and I caught 3 WBT around 10 inches long with many more refusals, takes were hard and fast. All caught on a May fly Duns size 12

Mostly sunny and warm. Low water - very long wades between fishy pockets! Instructions for accessing the beat need updating! Very pleasant surroundings. Enjoyed slowly wading up the stream through the tunnel of trees. A couple of fallen trees need taking care of. 4 trout landed including one about 2lbs! Plenty more lost/bumped off. The wade back downstream was a bit arduous - did I miss a footpath along the bank?

Coolish east wind and not a rise in sight all day. 1 lovely trout in small gold ribbed hares ear. Missed a few other cautious takes. First time fishing on this lovely beat (last time I was here was walking Offas Dyke which cuts across the river). Will return.

First time on this beat. 2 wbt to the net. First fish caught early on toward bottom end of the beat in faster water and was 6 inches or so, beautifully marked. Caught on a size 16 cdc quill jig nymph.

Next few hours were pretty tough going. A few olives (I think) coming off between 11am and 1pm but nothing rising.

I waded up most of the remaining beat to no avail and was about to give up when I found some fishy looking water towards the top. Second cast and I was locked in to a solid hard fighting fish that put a good bend in the 2wt.

Great location. Will be back

River levels very low after the summer, but still a few trout about and some decent sizes up to 1Ib

another short session, little bit of colour and extra water to liven things up. One nice brownie on a PTN and another slightly smaller- 9inches? - up top on a parachute pattern. Missed a close range rise to the same para from a much larger fish but ain't that so often the way.
