Strong downstream wind made dry fly tactics challenging. A very short hatch of LDO's early pm saw only 2 fish rise . Ended the day with 2 fish, both came blind to a small klink. Best fish 1.75 lb Hard work but worth the effort.

4 x trout 6-14 inches, Dark Moorgame. A few quite quickly on spiders early on which seemed encouraging, but a very cold wind arose which seemed to kill the river. Nothing seen hatching - left early afternoon.

Had an enjoyable day at Gromain, but caught no fish. One fish was caught by a fellow angler in the Spring pool. Many thanks to the chaps who found and returned my box of flies. A small hatch of Dark Olives which resulted in a few trout rising
