Fantastic spring days fishing. The water was looking very beautiful and just at the right height. Fished carefully throughout beat, but did not touch any salmon. I have no doubt there were though - they were just being elusive. I will be back!

Not a sniff! No fish moving at all, I think it was too cold knocked it on the head by 1pm

Hard going with the wind in the wrong direction. Sparse hatches of olives and few rising fish but one of which was a 15" extremely strong grayling which took a size 16 Greenwells and took a long time to land...this fish fought harder than all the others I caught during the winter. 8" trout on a size 18 Adams. Good to meet R.H. who lives close to the river and obviously knows it like the back of his hand.

Nothing on the usual gold bead nymph then saw a rise while having lunch so swapped to a #16 f fly.
Landed 4 nice trout the biggest around 10 inches.

First time on this lovely, lovely stretch. Easy to miss turnoff into Ashford House but otherwise good parking and access. Spectacular backdrop of hills. Good variety of water with riffles and pools, easy wading. Lot of water to explore. Sparse fly hatch mainly large olives. Only one fish rising, covered him and he took- beautiful 2 pounder- kept him and stomach wash chock full of snails and small stones- well over a dozen. Couldnt find any other fish with nymphs or emergers. Would love to return

Lovely stretch, but no fish taken. A big pike has been spotted in the pool at the very top of the beat. I did not see any fish rising. Used several diffrerent types of nymphs, but fishes were not cooperative at all.

Great day, starting with watching two otters at close proximity playing in the river. Good hatch of March Browns but little response in a rise.
