1 Grayling, 3 Chub

A good days fishing on the lyepole beat, river at a good height and running fairly clear. Fish were difficult to find though and most of the deep pools on the bends were visited through the day with tungston bead patterns and we were surprised that we did not catch more fish but did enjoy a great day on this lovely little river. 4 grayling & 1 osbt

I fished as a guest of the owner of the stretch. The fishing was hard with a lot of search fishing. We covered a lot of water trying to find a pod of grayling. There was a lot of salmon parr, there were also two large salmon going around on the surface in one of the pools, a lovely sight to watch.

Trotting maggot. Grayling to two pounds, plus a decent chub.

No fish to report. River carrying some colour from earlier rise. A very pleasant day on the river however.

8 Barbel 3 Chub on pellet. All fish caught in the morning.

Lot of water on the beat compared to my past visit. Fished the morning in the weir section but with no joy. Mid day moved up to a likelier series of bends and managed 6 grayling and 1 out of season brown trout. Largest of the grayling was pushing 2 lb. All fish were caught on ceramic nymphs and fished either czech or French. For a bit more regarding info with pics please see my blog at www.thetreetrout.co.uk

Using feeder with pellet managed one chub around 1lbs would of liked to have had a bit more water. Lots of rowing vessels up until midday.
