River rather low but otherwise conditions good. Good rise in some stretches of the river at various times. Mostly small fish caught on nymphs but had 3 or 4 on dry fly including best fish of 10-12 inches on Grey Duster.

It was my first time on a river. Such a contrast from lakes. Whitney is a stunning location, excellent help from Terry. Hope to return soon.

All fish caught were around five inches in length using klink and dink and were in superb condition. This river has changed considerably over the last twelve months, the flood water has really left its mark. Himalayan Balsam is also starting to take a hold on this stretch of water which is very concerning.
Thanks to the Wye and Usk for their help in booking the water.

Lovely stretch with a few open swims, quite shallow in places with heavy canoe traffic. I lost a fish because of it so fish early or late. Road is a bit tricky getting down but made it ok. 5 chub small though best being 2 1/4 lb on sweetcorn.

First of 2 days on the stretch. River still low, but with a little colour. Fished the full day and the numbers say it all. Regular bites throughout the day. Fished the faster water passed the bend. Lost count on the numbers of chub, and lost a further 6 barbel, but overall my best ever day on the river. Fish fell mainly to pellet.

Another stunning stretch - less accessible swims than the other stretches we fished but there are certainly enough to go at. Again struggled on a low clear river but persevered and managed to get three nice Chub in the end from the faster water. Great weekend - must have seen easily 50 Salmon leap out of the water over the three days. Despite what some reports say if you follow the maps and the instructions you can't go wrong. Thank you Wye Usk Foundation
