Fish fell to meat on the lead and meat and bread on the float with Chub to 5lbs., two Barbel and several decent Chub lost to hook pulls. On a gorgeous autumnal day with what appeared to be near perfect conditions can't help feeling that we under achieved somewhat but still a very enjoyable day on a wonderful river.

Sadly a blank for me today - more water and colour in the river than at my last visit. Only fished the afternoon but no bites to ledgered pellet despite moving swims several times.

Hello,
Perhaps I have missed information but I could not find any details to access the gates for the majority of the beats on this ticket. (The gates had codes on the locks). The only beat that had no access coded gate was pretty much unfishable.
2 sections had ladders to access the river as the drop from the bank was about 10 foot. The banks were unstable and pretty dangerous to fish from due to sediment. I think some better descriptions are required and I appreciate rivers are natural places etc so wasn't expecting decked swims but just a bit of pre info.
Spent a couple of hours on the one beat that we could access and did not see a fish even rise, which given the fly life and the conditions, this was odd. We spent a good amount of time just watching the river but seemed void of life. Perhaps due to rain the week before?
Perhaps the other beats are more suitable for fishing.
Many thanks
Simon
