Tried everything but no luck, no sign of any fish, not even during the couple of (brief) hatches. Despite that, it was a lovely beat & an enjoyable day.

Fabulous conditions and superb water but sadly not a fish seen by any of the 3 rods on this beat today. Lets hope more fish arrive tomorrow as the conditions will stay good.

Fly hatches apparent but relatively small. River flowing well with plenty of water. Few rising fish seen - those that did rise were generally caught or at least hooked.
Fish caught ranged between 8 oz and 1.25 lb.
Successful flies were cdc shuttlecocks, small adams.

I caught a lovely 1lb brown trout on the dry fly (yellow klinkhammer) at about 2.30pm, 200yards up from the bridge and released it back. My husband caught 2.6lbs brown trout with a beadhead pheasant tail at about 4pm, half way up the beat (by the waterfall pool). Fantastic afternoon.

A stiff down stream wind made the fishing challenging and suspect subdued any hatch, very few rising fish were seen and those that did were reluctant to show themselves again. Both Grayling took GHHE with orange rib, the second a fish of 2.5 lb, net released itself from the barbless hook and prompted a return to dry fly.

1'7" and falling, a beautiful spring day. Top beat in the afternoon. C N hooked and played a strong fish around 12-14lb for about 10 mins from the bottom on Dol-meadwy. Sadly it came off on the way to the net. Trout taking a steady hatch of fly. A good day - Thankyou WUF.

Two trout to hand and a couple of others up for a look bit did not stick. Fairly quiet for this time of year, reading other reports seems that late spring is having the same effect everywhere. Any day now it will spring to life.

Great value for money and very knowledgeable and helpful guide - Terry - but mainly a spinning/bait water, I think. Water difficult to read for a small river fly man like me. No salmon seen or caught, but plenty of trout about, some of them large.
