good days fishing plenty of Cub and barbel to 5lbs, also a couple of eels, using feeder method with meat as bait on a hair rig, only downside to this venue is the track around the field, do not attempt driving around the edge of the field unless you have a 4 x 4.

Lovely part of the world and lovely stretch. River still seems out of sorts. Combination of late spawning and really low water levels.

Fish together in large shoals so a lot of barren water.
Managed 8 Barbel on one rod but only two chub on the other. Fish in fast water.

Two blanks on other stretches in same trip for both anglers.

Only two fished. K.B blanked, T.B.had 4 barbel off the Marl Bed river was very low and clear was not impressed with about 25 canoes beached on the Marl Bed with there camping stoves. From Kerne Bridge up river all the old swims had all overgrown and not been cleared very poor.
WUF Note: canoeists are not permitted to land on private property unless they have permission or it is an emergency. Many of the canoe hire companies' crafts are now identifiable - please let us know if come across this sort of thing and make a note of the craft registration or organisation name.

Tough day on a beat known to myself and fellow "danglers", from our previous visit in the summer of 2012. The water level was very low and bites very sparse but still a very beautiful beat.

Our first visit to the Wye and we will return. A good day was had by all. The weather played a part in what was a difficult day. Great for sun bathing BUT not for fishing!
I would say the pegs need a little more love and attention to allow greater access to all of them. Also fishermen from the other bank were an issue casting across to "our" side.

Three wild carp. One just under 40cm, one over 40cm and one over 50cm. The rest were chub. All a good size. One on a float, the rest on a feeder. Also saw a crayfish fleetingly.

Fished 2pm - 7.30pm. 3 barbel to one rod, 5 the other. Biggest 9lbs 4oz, others between 4 and 7lb. Pellet feeder favored method.
River itself very low, only Poulston & Links worth fishing for barbel. With regards to the swimmers, as mentioned in previous reports, they are approachable and will move if you ask them.

We had brillant weather at the start of the day, sunny intervals. However it did rain for most of the afternoon which switched the fish off. A great time was had by all. The five rods did not catch a trout of over one pound. Nevertheless were kept busy with fish of 5-8 inches. The wining combination was a weighted black GRHE sz14 on the point with a small spider pattern on a dropper 3 foot higher.
There was a problem with a group camping alongside the Ciliau run on the east bank. They were fishing when we arrived and has a large Canadian style canoe which they paddled up and down the beat. This was reported to W&UF.
We camped at Trericket Mill near the beat.
