Beautiful peaceful beat, caught one barbel 5lb and one chub 2lb, mate lost a clonker! Trouble in the afternoon as river rose 2 feet in an hour and forced us home! Saw several salmon leaping, including a cock of about 16lb.

One of the only places fishable after the Friday deluge experienced in Mid-Wales. As wild and beautiful as ever with the usual stamp of wild brownie willing to take a small dry or nymph.

Gave myself 7 hours to get up (climb) to the top and even that was pushing it. I think I've almost got the route back to the car sorted out after a couple of previous 'adventures'!

35+ trout up to 10"...report and a few pics posted on blog: micksflyfishingdiary.blogspot.com

Fished from 4.30 in the afternoon at the 'new swim' in Legg Meadow, casting to the far bank by the hole in the willows. A fantastic late afternoon's fishing including 3 chub between 5lbs and 7lbs and 5 barbel of 8,9,11,12 and 12.5lbs.

Beautiful breezy day, Chough's and Lark's providing the background noise and a low flying Red Kite overlooking the proceedings. Not many fish on the rise but 10 trout taken. Stunning place.
