A warm day beside what appeared to be a very low river, with fish concentrated in the deeper and more oxygenated pools. Lots of fly about, with a few mayflies (and later in the day spinners) coming off. Fish sporadically rising, three to 12' caught on grey or black klinks. Apart from making it rain (for a prolonged period) the Foundation couldn't do more to improve what was a lovely day by a wonderful stretch of upland water.

Finally got on here. 18 barbel to 3 of us, all on pellet but rather uneven (14/3/1). It did include 8lb 12oz & 9lb 6oz fish. Lovely stretch but a lot of water to review on a 1st visit

Fished from 4pm til dusk. Weather very much against again - windy and rain later on. Beautiful stretch of river and delightful landowner/resident. Oh, and yet another field of young bullocks! River was low and fishing slow but 2 WBT at 6-8 inches and a decent 9" grayling all on a nymph - all returned. Oh how I wish I lived nearer!

Started fishing after lunch and had about 10 trout between 7 and 9 inch during the afternoon. Then the rain moved in and the trout stopped feeding.
Caught most trout on a small nymphs. Only few trout were raising to the dry fly.
