Great day on the river. Had 6 on dries and the remaining on nymphs.

Best fish of 2lb. Most caught on a nymph. Fish rising but challenging on the dry.

First cast on the bottom popped with balls then not a bite in 10.hrs very slow fishing yesterday but that's how it goes

- Fished Moring only (5:30 - 13:00)
- ⁠Fish were focusing on emergers throughout the weekend
- ⁠Fussy on dry fly but were happy to eat nymphs.
- ⁠Most fish taken near the middle & heads of pools as well as broken runs / pocket water.
- ⁠Size 18-20 PTN variants worked best with silver and rose gold beads very effective.
- ⁠Most fish 18-25cm with some fish between 32-42cm

Lovely day fishing no barbel but chub relentless 42 and could have been a lot more

Swim clearance excellent. No barbel caught, fished 13:00 to 21:30. Overcast conditions river low but with a little colour. Large numbers of chub present particularly in upstream swims if that’s what you’re after.
