Wonderful evenings fishing 5 barbel and 2 chub. Biggest barbel 9lb 2 oz and chulb to 5lb plus.

Lovely beat, steps and ropes such a nice touch especially after an evenings rain.......

enjoy the good days...cos a blank is never far away. fished half a dozen swims- every bait and method known to man...not a bite. so having thought i'd cracked it on my last visit, i'm back to a day just watching the kingfishers and enjoying the scenery. on the plus side, all the canoeists were absolutely perfect and polite and friendly....strange world eh..

Out for an hour or two river looked good but nothing seen or touched

Tried hard but to no avail. The rock pool must of changed as it has not produced one this season for me

Very dissapointed in the managment of the river banks. The access to the water was very poor. No visable pegs, lots of nettles, balsam and trees. The banks were high all through the stretch and difficult to descend. Some impossible. For 28 GBP this fishery needs extensive maintenance to provide Barbel and Chub fishing. Not recommeded. Will not be returning until I hear something has been done.

Fishing Passport Note : The Wye is a wild river. Undoubtedly fishing will sometimes be challenging. Low levels (and high) often mean that many swims become unfishable, reducing the amount of the beat available to anglers. The Wye is an SAC and SSSI, meaning the river and its banks are highly protected under law. There are, therefore, strict limits on what can be done to improve access legally. There will always be sections on fisheries that are overgrown, have steep banks or are in shallow/deep/featureless parts of the river. This can give the impression of neglect, especially if many of the usual spots are unfishable due to high/low water.

Wet and windy day to add to the fact the water was very low made the fishing difficult.

No showing fish just lots of minows in the edges.
