Very tough days fishing with the weather bright, warm and clear. Rainfall the night before had risen the water level by a good few inches which peaked at midday and then slowly started to drop again. A dry dropper was used for most of the day but a streamer did produce a couple knocks. In the end just as the light was fading in the upper section of the beat I tempted a nice little brownie on a hairs ear nymph

Solid with Chub as usual. Waggler fished shallow with small cubes of meet. A beautiful stretch but it was concerning how many of the chub now have damaged mouths, no doubt from the pressure this stretch receives. Also many of the chub had lice on them which is something I've not noticed on previous visits. 2 anglers fished.
