River was looking good. 0.46 on the Usk guage and rising slowly but still pretty clear. Had a really good tug in the salmon pool and moved a coloured fish lower down under the trees towards the corner pool. Nice bit of water for few hours fishing.

The track down to the river is diabolical,it should be sorted out properly ,, seeing the amount of anglers fishing there there should be plenty of money to do it right.
Swims should be maintained through the season.

We fished below the bridge starting around 11.00. The best “ peg “ was the glide into the tail just before the end of the beat. After Storm Agnes it was a relatively calm , dry day with the river slightly coloured and steady.
A washed up rod and reel were found which looked as though they had been in the river for some time. If the owner contacts me to identify them I will arrange their return.
Accommodation at the very homely Cottage of Content.
