Great day on the Wye despite the wet weather and strong winds,Barbel fed from mid afternoon onwards with the biggest just over 8 lbs,also some nice Chub showing on this beat,looking forward to returning here.

Good day at Fownhope after blanking on our last couple of visits there. All barbel came between 6:00 and 7:15 like someone had clicked a switch! Very enjoyable session despite high winds and rain.

River just starting to rise and rain most of the day so pretty good conditions. The only issue was having a pike in the swim causing havoc all evening.

Difficult to find entry/access, similar to many spots on the Wye but had a great day fishing on this marvellous river.
