Nice evening on upper hill court 2 nice barbel in 30 mins - couldnt keep it going though but feeder accuracy improves every time. Both caught on krill pellet .

Quiet half day on the stretch really. Managed some chub trotting and on feeder. Lost a bunch of tackle on the rocks. No sign of the Barbel. Gorgeous section of river.

2 small fish on spiders in the afternoon. Waited until 8 for a hoped-for rise but it stayed very slow and I missed the 3 splashy risers that took pity on me. There was an earlier report which mentioned the cattle. Those of a timid disposition can take comfort from the fencing between the bank and field.

One rod only fished. Calm, warm evening with late hatch of dark olives. Short frantic period of surface activity late. 6 BT caught & released.
