River nice and coloured, all fish caught on feeder tactics. Great to see my dads face when hooking into his first Wye barbel.

4 Barbel, 26 Chub

First timer at this venue, walked most of the stretch first and finally started about 7.30am, had a move an hour later much further upstream near the pump as feeling unfamiliar with the beat. By midday still no bites but knew the stretch has plenty of fish yet not even a Chub knock. Finally after trying several baits plus an hour running a float down the middle I went back to feeder but with a very long 5 foot 0.20 leader and 8mm pellet. Rod top went round at 2pm for a 3lb Barbel, soon followed by another. Ended up with 7 Barbel to 8lb 6, and 2 Chub to 4lb 6. Finished about 7.15pm

Had a good morning seen 1 salmon jump at the back of van stone pool. Looked back in evening but a swarm of bees was at the main entrance gate to dangers to open gate

Only one on … fished the whole stretch , fished one up from the lucky stone .. only one chub caught on ledger .. pretty quiet going … moved downstream to the end beat … very quiet there. In the end .. went back over the hill and fished the rocky swim by the hut near the bend. Trotting a float down picked up 9 chub in the end on corn

I spent one day on Home fishery catching a single barbel (6 lb) on luncheon meat.
