Another beautiful day on the Wye, although conditions were tricky. Fish were very finicky and wanted a moving bait. 2 chub caught on rolling luncheon meat, and 1 barbel, about 5lb, caught on float fished sweetcorn. Last cast of the day served up a beautiful 9lb barbel, hooked on touch ledgered pellet. Many thanks to Fiona and James at the Agents House in Whitney for their hospitality.

No fish caught but I still enjoyed the day.

Had a Barbel of 8lb at the end of the day along with a smaller one. Lots of Chub. All ledgering with meat/pellet.
Travel very light if planning to walk up the steep hill of death around the woods to the other side.. It's a trek and tough going if weather warm too!

Good water at 1'5", but no salmon encountered
