The conditions were good for barbel fishing as it was overcast with showers and also the river was up and had colour. We mainly fished with the feeder with luncheon meat and pellets as hookbait although we also tried rolling meat. Even though we tried different swims and fished until sunset we weren't fortunate enough to catch any barbel but had some nice chub (the largest was 4.5 lbs) and two eels.

absolute rubbish again, a lot for no reward. River in good nick and for the beat, funny thing is we didn't see a trout let alone a salmon, starting to think is it worth it

nothing seen or caught, Pathways on this beat are dangerous even though we know where we are going , a visitor would struggle that's for sure.

Fishing Passport Note : Since this feedback, pathways have been cleared. This work was planned but had to be delayed because of nesting Sandpipers (we always have to bear in mind that the Wye and its banks are SAC & SSSI designated). Also, please be warned that there is a wasp nest at the top of the Leaning Willow!

Another pretty slow day. Light rain & calm wind in morning. Fished fly - lost one fish , nothing else doing. Breeze picked up in afternoon, tried spinning and had one rainbow. Very few fish rising and generally not much sign of life.

1 Trout

All but one caught on krill 14mm pellet with swimfeeder and cheesy garlic groundabait. Other fish was on a cheesy garlic 14mm pellet.
