River was a bit high but fishable. No sign of any fish though. Sometimes one just fishes in hope.

This was a great way to spend a few hours, and it didn't matter that the rain was heavy for most of it! we waded the whole stretch having plenty of bites and converting 3 small trout.2 fish to T . Everitt and 1 to A. Davis. Tactics were gold head nymphs fished on a short line. Most of the fish were caught in the lower stretch of the beat. Overgrown in places but very enjoyable.

Almost unfishable due to low water level. Took me 90 mins to cover whole beat. A feisty trout of 11" was very welcome though, taken from a deep fast run.
8" Grayling also taken from a rare bit of fast water.
Access in and out of river is tricky, several fallen trees across the river don't help. How hard can it be Wye & Usk Foundation to get the local farmer to drag them out with his tractor? If these beats were more accessible and angler friendly you might get more bookings perhaps?

Most of river inaccessible from land. River was encased in tunnel of trees with no room for overhead casting, luckily I had small travelling fly rod 7 and a half feet in length. Found gap in trees where bank not too steep and waded up and down most of the stretch. Spotted few trout around 1lb mark especially near undercut banks by deeper water. Landed small black flies / nymphs on nose of fish but uninterested. Spotted a tightly packed huge shoal of small trout no bigger than 2 inches - guestimate of well over 300!

Weather was very hot & clear skies. Fished from 14.30 until 17.30, but without any success. Never actually saw any fish either.
However very nice beat, will try again when weather is more conducive. A pleasant afternoon.

Fished with passport on Abbey Dore till early afternoon and tried a few hours later on Dulas.
In morning lovely clear water but very few hatching flies apart from midges. Only a few small fish occasionally rising and rose a couple of those - otherwise no response to dries or nymphs. Waited and watched and crept around waiting for things to improve. Moved to Dulas and situation unchanged - only a few olives and very small fish rising. Both beautiful fishy beats.

Water very clear. Saw 4 Browns over fishing the beat X 2. Very nervy and difficult to get close without spooking them into disappearing into the un-accessible stretches. Very overgrown.
