2 Trout

lots of small wild trout! definitively more upstream towards the top end, best water on the beat.

15 Trout, 1 Grayling

Delightful setting. Very challenging conditions for me, with heavy rain and lots of water coming down. There was some obvious trout activity in the pools. I had several "takes" using a small Adams, but failed to net fish. I will definitely return and will attempt to sharpen-up my techniques!

Decided to make it an Irfon day, and chose to start on the Upper beat which is new to me. Fished the upper section from 10-2 Difficult. Absolutely no rises despite lots of fly life. A fingerling and two others 8/9" all to size 16 weighted GRHE nymph.

River high and very brown, lots of leaves. Not a sausage caught!

Surprisingly very clear water after several days rain. Very little trout or fly activity up to 7pm. Possibly a little too cold still. Lovely surroundings.

The river had dropped after a big rise Thursday night and was now perfectly clear. Little or no insect life. No fish showing. Fished a nymph for 8 trout from 8 to 15 inches, and a handful of par.

River nice. Only fished an hour or so bottom beat. Used nymph. 2 trout about 9inches and one 5 inch salmon parr.

No fish caught.

Fished for 1.5 hours before breakfast and caught 4 small trout on F fly.
