River a bit coloured with good flow following recent rain. Only saw 1 fish rise which I managed to catch on a size 16 rusty klinkhammer-9"wbt. 2 smaller wbt on gold head Hares Ear. Beat is very overgrown at present with lots of Himalayan Balsam making casting a real challenge.

4 x trout 7-10 inches, Rusty Klinkhammer. Fishing in the rain this morning and gave up after a few hundred yards as the brook became suddenly extremely muddy.

Low water, humid conditions. Heavy rain @ 16:00 called it a day.

5 x trout 6-8 inches, Rusty Klinkhammer. A quick early morning trip up the channel with water very low and fish remarkably spooky - mostly on the pool tails. I missed or spooked a lot, but it was good to be out after a week indoors

Warm day, overcast and occasionally threatening rain, but brightened up in the afternoon. Fished 11-3pm, taking my time and enjoying a peaceful day. One of those strange days where fish were rising reasonably regularly, but nothing was hatching and I couldn't tell what they were feeding on. I went through most of the fly box but no fly got more than one take.
5 trout from 5"-10" caught on olive klinkhammer, PTN, grey klinkhammer, copper john and a miscellaneous red nymph.
The vegetation is making casting trickier and a couple of pools are now pretty much impossible to cover, but still enough room for a pleasant day out.

6 x trout 6-12 inches, 16 Rusty Klinkhammer and 12 Monnow Gosling. A quick nip up the brook late on a warm Sunday afternoon. Not too much hatching or rising, but I did see one mayfly dun and one spinner, so something must be about to start and the last fish of the day came up to a big fly. The best two were 11 and 12 inches, which is not bad for this little stream.

Stream low and clear, so tough going. Casting tricky in many places due to plant and tree cover (8ft 3wt was a little long). Found best tactic was to find a fishy looking place with space for a back cast and wait for rises. A lot of junk in the stream (old tyres, fence panels etc), but lots of fish. Good fun and a rewarding challenge (missed as many as caught). Hawthorn, iron dunn and black ant (all small) all worked well.
Look forward to returning soon.
