Having fished 2 days I believe this beat should be closed until water levels rise. Canoes are a problem they get stuck . Lack of water. If I had known before I would have postponed my trip having driven 300 mile round trip. The river near Ross has decent water to fish .

Tight lines

Nice stretch of water undoubtedly holding som good fish although not for me this time.
I found the access along the bank a bit awkward especially towards the upstream end. Several fences to negotiate without gates.

My first blank on the Wye and I can go back to 1969.
A special mention to the 2 people who got in below me, late in the afternoon, so close that they chopped off the end of my swim. If you read this. Thanks folks! Great manners!

2 Anglers but only 1 trout caught still a nice day except for thr weather

1 beautiful small salmon parr late on as sun was setting at top of beat where cletwr joins the wye - returned straight away happily darted off. Wet fly. Even though had rain earlier water was low with very little colour. Plenty of decent sized trout rising / jumping later on as well.

No fish hard casting to windy
