First time on this lake Lovely spot to fish. Couple of carp mooching around the shallows when we arrived which disappeared shortly afterwards. Didn't see another fish all day. Tried a few different methods and baits but was not to be. Levels quite low, surprising after the amount of rain through the winter.

Beat:Arrow Titley
Fishing:Trout (River)

Fished fro 11..00 to 16.00 Didn't see a single rise, the air temperature started to rise as I was packing up and I suspect any activity would have been later on as it was the day before on Lyonshall. beat. Saw 2 kingfisher so that was nice and it is a lovely beat. I am sure there are trout there but no looking up.

Just the two chub. Fished the swim furthest upstream on the upper section. Looked bang on but no whiskery ones and no chub after mid-afternoon - very odd.

A bit of a hike to the river and a tricky riverside path to negotiate but ultimately worth the effort! Ranging from 1.5lb to 3.5lb. The Barbel didn't show but my best ever day trotting for Chub despite a paddle boarder falling off right in front of me.
A very busy day!

Conditions looked good. River was pacey but very fishable. Fish showing throughout the day. It took a concentrated effort to blank but we managed it.

Has anyone lost a triangular shaped landing net with a black net?
Found it on the neck of Rectory pool island.
It's in the fishing hut.
