Fished late evening in the very last swim on the road side. Conditions were difficult with water levels being low. I baited up in the morning then again when I arrived but didn't fish for an hour. Had a nice Barbel within half an hour of my first cast then two chub then a Barbel to end the session. Fished approx 3 hrs.
Fished were not weighed but I'd guess the Barbel were aroun 3lb-5lb with Chub slightly less.

Only 2 of us actually made the trip because of the weather and water conditions and the other 2 of us blanked. Not fair to judge this stretch under present conditions for our first trip but it is a difficult place to find and with little water in the river and a continuous canoe traffic on the day we were there it was not surprising we caught nothing.

River flowing low and clear with not many fish showing. One bite from a chub in the evening was all that happened. I did have a nice barbel over the top of my bait but no luck. We fished the faster water thinking the fish would be there in the oxygenated water but didn't get a single bite nor did I see any fish despite chucking in some pellets. Chub was caught under the rod tip near the car park.

Tricky access (very overgrown) with most of the river not fishable and very low water. Good directions but would have been useful to have the combination lock code for the gate to the angling centre.
