Nice mornings fishing pellet feeder caught all fish..

Late afternoon evening session arrived at 3-30 River still up but steady flow colour beginning to drop out weather cloudy,one barbel around 7lb at 6pm then chub sporadically from 3-4lb until I left at 8pm.

We started late morning , and initially things were quite slow. Started to catch from mid afternoon onwards , best barbel 9lb 6oz all on boilies. Pleasant days fishing.

The river looked to be in excellent condition after recent rain and things did look rather promising. Despite this, the fish did not wholeheartedly come on the feed all day but remained hunker down near solid structure. Nevertheless, arrange of tactics - streamer, nymph, dry fly - produced fish to both of us throughout the day. Incidentally, one mink was spotted making his way along the far bank looking very much at home.

Extremely pleasant day, blessed by the weather. Saw 2 salmon jump, both either end of the beat. Caught a 2lb Chub on a shrimp pattern towards the end of the beat, otherwise nothing else.

Plenty of chub showing in the morning down towards the Island, best one around 4lbs. Good sport on. Covered the full length of the stretch in the afternoon with barbel coming from all pegs including a Wye double. Pellet and feeder tactics the order of the day.

9 Barbel, 10 Chub

Only had the 2 barbel today, 1 each.

Jim has a new PB at 11lb 4oz, cracking fish.

Same tactics as previous 2 days, feeder with pellets and groundbait, and large pellets or meat on the hook.
