Bright sunshine all day. Occasional flurries of March Browns and Olives hatching from around 11.00 through till 15.00. These brought fish to the surface in the fast water at the top of the beat. Lots of missed takes but 2 fish in superb condition of 1lb 8oz and 1lb 6 oz were landed on size 14 March Brown.

Lovely to be on the Usk again. Fish very picky so a long leader was needed to get a good drag free drift.

8 Carp caught, all commons in good condition, from 3lb - 12lb with 2 x doubles. Warm, sunny day but cold breeze, some fish on surface but not overly interested in floaters. All fish taken on the bottom.
Lovely venue, instructions provided clear and booking process seamless. First time I've used WUF, will definitely use again. Thank you very much.

A very difficult day on this beautiful beat . A strong easterly wind persisted with bright sunshine , very little fly life and no fish rising . We enjoyed the day in the fresh air and had plenty of exercise .
