All on nymphs, two of the biggest grayling about 1.5lb each. You definitely need a wading stick for this beat, I used one but still went for a swim.

Funny old day,hard going lower beat,water to low to make much of it tbh. Few fish up by bridge on nymphs euro style and clink and dink up to 2 lbs. Short beat,with a lot of water hard to fish with hight banks ,nice setting mind and probably would return next season.

No fish rising

Quite windy, 15mph at times and over cast with the threat of rain that cleared by mid-day. Downstream nymphing with a single size 16 rose pink beaded grhe was the chosen tactic that yielded three trout. The second one was a stunner, all bejewelled with classic red dots and quite buttery underbelly , a really nice fish at 13". Tried a team of nymphs, beadheads of various colours alongside a selection of spiders but only one tug in two hours. The water was low so stuck to faster moving water. The river needs a flush through as the bedrock is becoming slimy. A lovely beat as always, accompanied by the usual kingfishers, dippers and sand martins (who haven't migrated yet)

Barbel 1st cast….Barbel last cast! Tough day in the middle…covered a lot of water. As low as I’ve seen the river

We turned up and left without fishing ,there were very few fishable swims. This beat has very poor access to the water. Water levels very low.

Hard fishing in low clear water. Chub throughout the day on meat and pellets.

4 Chub, 1 Other

Great days fishing, majority of fish fell to one swim (11 Barbel) the rest were spread across venue. The water level extremely low and bright conditions.
