Toft House offers 500 metres of truly wild brown trout and grayling fishing on the Eggles Burn. This is an incredible little wild stream full of character and makes the ideal location for a few hours. The majority of the this is heavily tree lined.

This lightly fished section of the small river on the north bank is a hidden gem. It is very challenging fly water with a wonderful mixture of pocket fishing and small pools., all of which have probably never seen a fly.

Wading is of average difficulty and care must always be taken, a wading staff is always advisable. Please take care when near the steep sides of the river bank. The Eggles Burn can be a fast rising river, so please take care to check on-line river levels and the weather reports before venturing out.

Go to methods will be single upstream spiders, nymphs and dry fly. Fishing with a 6ft 6in or 7ft 6in rod, line rating #2/3 is the perfect choice of rod.
