The Loughor, known for its large sewin and also late season salmon, is a relatively short river with a huge estuary. Pontarddulais Angling Association have about 5 miles of fishing, from the tidal stretches around Pontardulais town, leading up into a very quiet pastoral valley towards Ammanford. The Loughor is a much more demanding river to fish at night than the Towy, being narrow and winding between steep banks, but it can produce spectacular results.
