Beautiful weather, lost 2 barbel as well. Fished beat 5 to the outside of the big bend as the pace quickens.

4 rods blocked booked. River was flowing fast. Only found 2 swims accessible unless you had waders and rope and fancied the climb. Beautiful setting, These beats need to make sure anglers can get access. 2 out of 3 days not great value in my view
Fingers crossed tomorrow.

Caught one and lost another. Seen a few fish at the middle of the beat but couldn’t convince to bite. Later came back to the same spot to find a cormorant and not a single fish in sight. Hope the fish got away!

Two anglers fished and our first time on this stretch so decided to fish the bottom end. Tried various swims and caught the chub in a few of them. One barbel lost otherwise no sign of them.

Lovely, well kept beat but struggled to locate any real features to work with. Tried various methods, trotting, feeder and straight lead with pellet. All fish caught were on the feeder and pellet.
