caught 2 rainbow on spinner and lost 3 near net .water choppy and stained. very windy had to move around to catch. Hard going but got rewarded.

Great day on this lovely beat. Loads of big chub - several in 5lb bracket for DC the chub king. Most chub and one barbel came from a swim near to the top of the beat about 100 yards below the Croy. Mix of baits/methods took fish but most to trotted luncheon meat or cheese. River was very low and it was hot so great day of fishing given the weather was probably not perfect.
