5 caught on PTN fished upstream. Biggest was about 1lb. River low for this time of year so hard work. Usk reservoir high (noticed when walking there next day) so clearly water board wanting to fill it before releasing more water to river.

What a lovely little stretch, very scenic and beautiful. The water was a little high which made it tough but we still had a great day. 2 out of season Grayling, quickly released and 1 small trout (also released).
Would love to return in the summer

Warm sunny day with few small insect hatches in the afternoon, but no rises. Air and water temperature still cool. 2 WBT taken on nymph (dark olive pheasant tail), plus 1 missed take. Wet-fly trio on droppers with nymph point.
NOTE: Easy access to river, but difficult wading/walking along beat - overgrown with thorns (risk to tear waders).

Having had an absolute ball over the weekend at Claerwen Reservoir , winkling lots of fish to the net on dries, with Bibio Pomonae on the go!!!! Lots of walking up my local wild reservoir !!! 900 acres is a lot of water..... Awesome fun though, but was lovely having a quick session up the Aberedw beat today ...... Fished eleven till just gone one, only likely areas with a dry Para Greenwells ...... Olives showing about midday, quite a few too .... Only the odd fish looking up , as Luke B. Put in his report, still need three or four good warm days for the tribs to crank into gear in mid Wales !!! The Wye at Builth has been great fun on the dries too ..... funny how these tribs can be so behind the main rivers ....... oh well, another ten days they'll be fantastic ... The Edw is running clear as gin and at her normal height !! Yes you could go plopping tungsten cannon balls in the pools, but I'm into finesse, always have, always will be !!! Proper stream dry fly tactics for this callsign I'm afraid !!! Lol.....
Four to the net , happy days, good Savage takes too, I cut out just before the house close to the river ... A fun two hours, fish between seven and ten inches .... back on one of the big wild reservoirs locally tommoz, then another wild stream on Thursday !! Living the dream ....Right, cuppa and digestive biccie time .......
