The river has benefited from recent rains, still holding a bit of water with a tint of colour. Perfect for nymphing. 20 fish between 2 of us in a late afternoon session fishing from just below the bridge up to the end of beat. The beat is huge and there are some fantastic pools here. Fish to 1.5lb all in great condition. Access and parking in the farm yard is good.

Difficult fishing strong wind right into the dam. No fish 1 broken rod tip.

River level up and rising due to heavy rain over the weekend also well coloured. All fish caught on a feeder rig all fish in a good condition.

Swim feeder with garlic and chilli soaked luncheon meat on hair. First cast of the day too! And then ….

Only one fishing, river was up a bit and coloured so conditions not very good four good chub caught and one eel caught, will be back!

Lovely condition chub, caught in beats 3, 5 and 6, all on the left bank. Bites dried up as the sun came out and the temperature rose. Fishing a cage feeder.
