River apparently 4.1 metres up, chocolate brown, and flowing about 100 mph! Weather was OK . Couldn’t hold the bottom with 120g feeder. We managed to find a place where there was some slack water on the bend and we could both fish. Had four bites between us and caught 3 Barbel about six pound and one 7lb all on meat. Will return when river drops, if only to retrieve lost feeders from the trees and bushes below us!

Very challenging conditions with the river at 4.2m. We decided to give it a go, so descended the steep hill and luckily found a few slacks. It was hard going but three barbel was a decent return considering the river was almost unfishable.

Again we did not fish as the weather was just to bad.We do not have a 4x4 car so we would not take the risk to use the car park down the hill, and the walk from the the church car park was to treacherous under foot and far to long to find a fishable swim in the conditions.
