5 x trout 6-11 inches, 1 x out of season grayling 16 inches, spiders and Hair Wing Sedge

very light showers late morning turning to sun, river in great condition, tried nymph's and spider covered a lot of river not a bite, insect life from 12.30am to 1.30pm saw only one rise. Will be back soon.

Two salmon seen one of which well into its 30 lb bracket huge fish . Both on the lower beat . No salmon caught from me however still a great day chasing the king of fish

A great venue for a days fishing and very helpful at the estate office setting us up for the day. One decent size WBT about 12", I saw a few Hawthorne fly and used a size 14 black parachute adams, caught to a rising fish under trees at the start of the beat (Solomon's seat). The beat has good access, lots of pools and riffles, easy wading, but I would recommend using a wading staff, very slippery rocks. Heavy rain during the day, not much coming off the river, a few small flies, saw a few fish rising.

Two fish of around 1lb caught and released. Fly patterns used were a butchers and a small black beetle.

Everything was perfect 3 good bites but no fish showing , flies every where but no rises , will definitely be there again .

No fish! Missed a strike on a trout. I'm a complete novice though so maybe there was plenty to be had!
