Weather was good overcast with occasional sunny spells, river at .56 on the Ross gauge. Mick the Ghillie was brilliant with
his help and advice to put me in the right places to catch my first ever salmon. Had a fish show in the Vanstone in the morning and another after lunch at the stones (Possibly the same fish running through?) my inexperience didn't help
and a better caster of the Fly may have had a chance but still an enjoyable day and have learnt a lot about this beat from Mick, so will return and have another go.

Lovely day. The river was a bit low at around 0.7m on the Brecon gauge with blue sky and bright sun all day. Only small numbers of olives hatching. Sporadic rising fish. 10 trout caught on a combination of dry flies (CDC olive emerger) and small beaded nymphs. Thank you WUF for a lovely day.

Very windy, little shelter from the wind straight down the reservoir. Where there might have been some shelter there was no access. Banks very overgrown with brambles, bracken and willow.
No fish caught.

Fished late afternoon until 6.30pm when it got cold and I got a bit wet with the rain . Very little activity. One take on a klinkhammer and a couple of pulls on a mayfly nymph and they was all.
