Great day fishing, very easy access and plenty of well maintained swims. Barbel all between 4-6lbs and caught in the last 2 hours of daylight

3 anglers. Very good day. Biggest barbel 7lb. Biggest chub 3lb. Lots of action but a lot of small chub.

Never seen a reservoir so low what's happened caught one brownie very lean not surprising as where they normally feed is now dry land its a worry!

Hen fish approx 10lbs at 1200 from Upper Glangwye, handled with care and quickly put back.

1 Salmon

The river was at a good height (0.99m on the Erwood gauge and dropping 5cm during the day). Clarity was also reasonable despite having lifted by over 60cm a few days earlier. At this level it was possible to give the salmon flies a good swing through most of the pools. A path has been strimmed through the wood, making it much easier to access the upper limit of the beat (much appreciated bankside maintenance, many thanks!). I was surprised not to see any salmon but two nice oos brownies (up to 1.5lb) saved me a blank.
